Director- TAS -Economic Advisory

The successful applicant will have two key responsibilities in EY’s Middle East and North Africa (MENA) business: To lead our expanding Economic Advisory practice which serves EY clients across MENA by undertaking economic impact assessments of businesses, assessing the economic consequences of government policy options to provide insight to policy makers and inform decision making, providing economic analysis and modelling to inform decision making in regulated industries including the power and utilities, telecoms and financial services industries. To represent EY in the MENA market as our Chief Economist, speaking at public events, industry conferences, producing relevant publications and though leadership for our clients, and generally leading an aggressive go-to-market campaign to raise EY’s growing profile for economic advisory services in the MENA market. Qualification To qualify, candidates must have: ► A bachelor’s degree and approximately 5 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 4 years of related work experience ► An undergraduate or master’s degree in accounting and/or other appropriate academic major ► At least 4 years of experience working as an auditor for a public accounting firm and particular business/industry experience to meet special needs ► Strong advisory (selling) mindset ► CPA/CA/ACCA certification ► Strong technical skills and recognized cautious risk management ability ► Deep understanding of the client’s industry and marketplace ► Strong management skills to lead teams, delegate appropriately, mentor, review performance and counsel employees ► Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills.
